Cabo Trip Continued

Now that I have a little extra time, I will fill everyone in on the details of our vacation. I realize that the slideshow was a tad bit...ok Extremely long. I got a little carried away with picture taking while I was there. I took almost 400 pictures!!! Our departing flight out of DFW was delayed over 3 hours. We were supposed to be leaving at 7:00 am and didn't get going until about 10:15. It got to be a little difficult entertaining the kids for 5 hours in the airport. But they did awesome on the plane, no yelling, fighting, and they slept for about 1 1/2 hours. The flight was about 2 1/2 hours and our pilot was really hustling and got us there in about 2 hours, which was great. We were then greeted by our shuttle to the hotel, unfortunetly they didn't fill us in before we left that the taxi company's were in a major strike. Finally after waiting for about 30 min. in desert heat we were on our 45 min. ride to our hotel. We were welcomed by a marachi band, punch/or alcoholic bevs, roses, and tons of smiles and assistance. Our hotel was AMAZING! We stayed in a Jr. Suite, we had wonderful service and yummy food! It was better then we had read about. By the time we got to the hotel we were all starving, so we were off to find food. It got to be a little bit of a tease since we were on a major piece of property, we were smelling food but couldn't find it. LOL, finally we asked someone and settled down for lunch. Basically our first few days were filled with swimming, exploring our hotel grounds, eating, and walking on the beach. A little interesting getting off a plane without a gate. Very long wait for our shuttle. We had such a great view of the arcs from our hotel. The first night we had a lobster dinner!
The buses were interesting... They were old American School buses painted white. Catching a bus was like catching a taxi in NY. You pick a spot to stand out and just wave your hand and if they see you they stop. It was about $0.70 and well worth it since they stopped wherever you wanted. Our boat trip was a little scary. Riding on a small boat in the ocean is nothing like riding a small boat on the lake. The huge waves were hitting the boat and it was rocking all over the place, but the view was very very worth it. We got to see sea lions up close and actually hear them barking, plus we got to see the very very tip of the baja. It was actually the kids favorite thing to do while we were there.
This is someone's $50 Million Boat! See the Heli? Supposedly on this mountain, people like Madonna, Brittney Spears, Justin Timberlake, and a few others own homes. If it is true or not? I donno.
We had such a great time, and I miss it already. So many of the people we came to love while we were there. Ricky seemed to be the star of the vacation. Everywhere we went, I heard "Hi Ricky!" We even got complimented by numerous people while there about how well behaved our children were. We had to do a double take to make sure they were talking about us. LOL The kids absolutely loved the girls in the kids club. They were great with Children and spoiled our kids rotten. I have decided that when I retire I am moving to Cabo. Probably Todos Santos a little town about 30 min. away. A lot of Americans and Canadians have decided to settle down in that small town. I can't think of anything else to add about my vacation at the moment. (My kids keep trying to get my attention so I guess my free time is up) The slide show has plenty of pics on it,If you haven't watched it yet. I think it is kind of cute.
P.S. We saw tons of Cruise ships during our stay stop at the arcs. But this one was very interesting because when they were departing their horn whistled the tune to "When you wish upon a star". It was really neat.
My Kids lived on Junk food. That is what happens when they make Fancy 5 star desserts, and a all you can eat buffet, plus a Chocolate Fountain & Ice Cream Bar!!!
Our last day there I got really sick from food poisioning maybe? Any way, we had to go to Walmart to get Meds, but I was way too sick & weak to walk so Rick pushed me. Thanks Rick!!! I am actually still recovering even over a week later.

Fun-Tastic Filled 4th

As my sister will tell you, I LOVE HOLIDAYS!!! It doesn't matter which holiday it is, I suppose it is because I have an excuse to dress my whole family in matching outfits. On this special day it is Red, White, and Blue. (Unfortunetly a certain person didn't get the memo and decided to wear beige. *Rick* LOL) Every year since Eevie was about 1 I have taken pictures of the kids in their Red, White, & Blue on the Fire Engine. Sometimes on Memorial Day some on Independance Day.

It is amazing how much they grow and change in just a couple of years.
4th of July was fun this year, we went over to my parent's house for a fun family get together. We had an all american bbq with tons of BEEF! Big Ol' Juicy Ribeye steaks, Hotdogs, Chicken, Potato Salad, Cole Slaw and a Yummy green salad! It is always fun to hang out with the fam. After stuffing ourselves silly we headed over to Rick's Friends House (Adrian) for front row seats to the firework show over the lake. It was great!!! Their little daughter was so cute and entertaining to watch while playing with Ricky & Eevie. Over all it was a busy but Wonderful 4th of July! I am so proud to be an American and greatly appreciative to raise my family and live in such a amazing country.
It is like 10:30 at night and everyone is Exhausted!
Thank you Adrian & Julie for having us over!!!

Cabo San Lucas Vacation 2008

Vacations are so much fun, but gosh they are exhausting! Here is a video slideshow that I hope you enjoy until I have more time to post a full fledged story about our vacation (Turn on your speakers). Right now I am off to finish unpacking, doing laundry, picking up our pets, and trying to get a little downtime.

SOFTBALL BANQUET

Eevie & Kim (Softball Coach) The 2008 Spring Softball season is officially over. I am happy that we won't be running here and there between practice and games, but I know Eevie will miss it until the time comes again. I am a little nervous because she will be playing MACHINE PITCH in the fall. SCARY!
The Banquet was just a little very simple award ceremony at No Frills Grill (One of my least favorite places) where the coach covered who had MVP what games, the girls that made it to the *ALL*STAR*TEAM* and who will be moving from T-Ball to Machine in the fall and/or spring.
We were very excited for our team to get trophies. Only the top 3 teams got trophies so we were happy to be one of the top 3! That is all Eevie wanted the whole season was a new trophy and she earned it!!! She really excelled this season and learned the game quickly. She already can't wait until the time to plays softball comes again!

The Yummy Cake

It isn't very pretty... but was very delicious.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO RICKY!!!

This is the best smile I could get out of him the morning of his birthday. When he came out of his room the first thing he said to me was "Where's my birthday?" And I said "Happy Birthday Ricky, it is already your birthday today!" Then he said "Where's my party!" LOL
Ricky had a Pump it Up Party for his 3rd birthday. Pump it up is an indoor inflatable bounce house arena. It was so fun to watch him run and bounce his little self tired! He seemed to really enjoy himself. Wow, how hard it is to believe that my littlest baby boy is already 3 years old.

Ricky smiling after a quick slide down the tall slide!

Time for cake. YEAH! (He doesn't usually wear socks w/crocs!)

I can't believe that he was giving someone that evil look. I can almost read his mind! "Stay away from my presents!!!"

Tissue paper flyin everywhere!

MORE CARS

The new Thomas Bike from Granny & Pop Pop

He won't ride the bike still. He just holds on to the handle bars and walks the bike up and down the side walk.

Bye Bye Kindergarten. Hello 1st Grade!

I know that when I started Blogging I said I would update about once a week, but I have been so busy lately that blogging has been toward the bottom of the important list. This has been a busy couple of weeks for us. Summer has officially kicked off!!! On June 4th Eevie Celebrated the end of the year with her Kindergarten graduation program. I wish I had my new video camera, I would have had some video of their performance. It was so cute, and I found myself getting teary-eyed watching my little baby blossom! It was also nice to have her teacher come back for the graduation. Her teacher had a baby in April and they have had a wonderful Sub, but everyone just loved mrs. Aan and we missed her at the end of the year. It was nice to get a picture with both of her teachers! We really had the best kindergarten teacher at Elizabeth Smith! Eevie had a excellent school year basically breezing through this year with 4's most of the year and finishing with ALL 4's. (That is like A's in Kindergarten) She also had perfect attendance, but unfortunetly didn't get recognized for it because she had tardies. :( Rick and I thought that was really dumb, but their opinion of perfect attendance is no tardies or absents. I just can't believe sometimes how smart my kids are... (I am not trying to brag) Eevie is a excellent reader and just can't stop reading EVERYTHING!!! She is also great in Math. She is counting money, and doing addition and subtraction. We are so proud of her!

(Mrs. Caminskey (Sub) Eevie, & Mrs. Aan)

Ouch!

While at Eevie's game the other day Ricky was running down a very steep grassy slope and started to go to fast, as soon as I said"Ricky be....careful" He had already hit the pavement at the very end with his face. I was terrified, I was sure that as soon as I lifted him up he would be gushing blood, teeth would be missing, and he would be swelling up. But he was pretty much fine, he had a little swelling and a little blood on his forehead and that was just about it. THANK GOODNESS!
He insisted on having a band-aid applied to his forehead. So he walked around the fields for the rest of the evening looking like a goof. :) Gotta love him!

Hawaiin Falls

I just realized that I have way more pictures of Ricky at Hawaiin Falls than Eevie. For those of you wondering what Hawaiin Falls is, it is a Family Waterpark they just built less than a mile from my house! We have already decided that this will be the majority of our summer activities since gas prices are totally outrageous. Rick was so sweet to buy us season passes and the kids and I have already taken advantage of them twice so far. It is really fun, they have adult/teen water slides, a wave pool, a spray pad, a kiddie slide area, and quite a few big rides. I haven't got to ride any slides because with the small kiddos (Like Ricky) I have to stay with him and watch his every move. Both of the kids had so much fun and we think it will be a fun filled summer. We will be going on Vacation to visit Rick's Family in San Diego, and we are also taking a family vacation with just the younger 2 kids to Cabo San Lucas MX. So EXCITED!!! I really want to some how get up to NY to visit my Grandma and Aunts, but it really depends on how money is... I will keep my fingers crossed!

FIELD DAY

Eevie doing the bucket stilts Waiting for her turn to do the next event. Class picture (I have no idea what Ricky is doing in it?!) Pooped after a long field day
Over all Field Day was a blast for both kids! Ricky was spoiled rotten by Eevie's classmates, he was given candy, popcorn, and tons of other sugery things that made him very happy!

My 4 Boys

Ricky & Barron
While Ricky & Rick were outside tightning the bolts on the swingset recently I just quickly snapped some shots of them and the puppy dogs (Who are not puppy's by the way) While looking at these I realized I have way too much testosterone in my house! Sean
My husband can be such a good one sometimes... OH OK! Most of the time. I asked him to tighten the bolts on the swingset and immediatly he got out there and started working on it, he not only tightened the ones I aksed him to, but ALL of them!

3 Amigos

These are "Ricky's Friends". He always cries when "Eevie's friends" come over because they never want to play with him, but since he is getting older his friends are able to play and watch movies and just have fun with him.

A day Out!

It still amazes me how easily entertained my kids are. We sometimes have to drive out to my bank which is about 45 min away from our house. While we are out there we try and make a day out of it, sometimes going to a different mall or to eat out there at a different resteraunt. Well, while we were in the bank we continually heard a loud rumbling and engine from a fighter jet. (I bank at Navy Federal, which is right across the street from the Naval Air Station) Every time Ricky hears something loud (Thunder, Planes, etc.) He freaks out! So I decided that we would go watch them take off and land off of the runway. They thought it was the coolest thing ever! And it was FREE!!! (Eevie is wearing the bow Suzi made!!! Thanks again Suz!)

New Beds!

I know, I know, it has been forever since I last Blogged, but due to Softball and Preschool I haven't had the time to do anything other than Taxi children to and from Practice, and games, and work.
I thought this would be a funny thing to post:

A few months ago my dad built Rick new twin size beds. Everyone was very excited including Ricky. This particular day I was having problems getting Ricky to sleep in his room for naptime, and he didn't even want to sleep in his new blue bed. So after yelling, spanking, pleading, and bribing him he got in his bed and I went downstairs. Thinking since I didn't hear anything coming from his room he must have finally settled down and went to sleep. A few hours passed by, and I go to wake him up. And long and behold he Conked out right in on the floor in front of his door!

I am not really that black, the flash didn't go off on the camera!

Raquetball Feet

TOO MUCH RAQUETBALL PLAYING!

(Bandaged & Taped Feet from too much Raquetball playing!!!)

(Even the heels are red and blistered!)

This morning before Rick left for the day, he asked me if I was going to the gym, I told him probably and continued on with my day. Well when the time came for me to go to the gym I asked him if he was going he said "Probably not; Do you want me to come?" So anyway, he ends up coming with me and we basically automatically seperate after dropping the kids off in the playroom.(Which is pretty normal) I am looking everywhere for him b/c I need to put something in his gym bag. (I don't normally take a bag)

("I WON AND I HAD A LOT OF FUN")

I finally find him waiting to play in the competition raquetball room. In this room they sign their name on a dry erase board and basically the losers have to leave and the winner plays the next person, until they lose. I'm thinking "I've got to see this!" SO instead of using my first 15 min at the gym productively I watch Rick start his game. Then I realize I have been sitting there wasting time for 15 min so I go to my Spin Class and do some other workouts and come back (over an hour later). As soon as I walk up to the court all of the other men waiting start telling me that my husbands feet are really hurt. I look in there, he is still playing (Meaning he has won every game! Yeah!!!) and I say well he looks like they feel fine, that's when they fill me in... His feet is blistered, cracked, bleeding, and the first maybe even 2nd layer of skin is falling off!!! They said that he taped them up and got back in the game?!!! I can feel my pressure building as I think to myself "WHAT!!!???!!! WHY WOULD HE KEEP PLAYING IF HIS FEET ARE LIKE THAT?!" Remind you... He isn't getting paid for this?!

*When Ricky saw his feet he said "You go to the Doctor!" LOL! He did not like his dad's feet all taped up. We get in the car and he takes off his shoes and OMG (OH MY GOSH!) I basically am speechless. Now those of you who know me well, know I am never speechless. We fly into WALGREENS as fast as the van will take us. I run up to the pharmacy and ask their suggestions. SOAK, AND BANDAGE! AND THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT HE DID!!! .

Grand Cayman- Stingrays, Turtles, Fish...OH MY!
