End of School year, Pre-K Graduation, and more!

The school year is coming to a end 2014-2015 school year ends officially in 4 1/2 more days.
Yall might be surprised that I have had 2 blog posts in 1 day!  Ya, I can't believe it either.  Now that I think of it May has been pretty darn busy!  A lot of school stuff going on.  JC had his Pre-K graduation about a week ago.  He is officially done and ready for Kinder!  I am NOT ready for my little baby to go to kinder though.  Every day he asks is it summer yet, then proceeds to say that after summer he is going to the big school for kindergarten.
He did the cutest performance for his ceremony. (I attached the video at the top of the page)
Ricky and Eevie have not had their end of the year award ceremonies yet, but when they do I will definitely post a blog post.
Ricky had his LAST elementary field day.  That was sad.  He will no longer be a little dude.  He is now a big dude. His field day was a full non-stop day.  It was fun to watch them.  They won 1 out of 3 tug of war tournaments, and he had some other fun events that he participated in.  He had a lot of fun.  And so did JC, who happened to play hookie from school that day to go watch Ricky.  He ended up running into one of his friends and hung out with her for the entire time.

Ricky worked so hard on his science fair project.  It was hard work popping and counting popcorn.  5 bags full!  Ugh...I don't want to do that project ever again.  The house smelled like popcorn for a week!

When these 2 boys were younger I kept wondering why in the world someone like me (Who is scared of everything, gets creeped out easily, and is a germ-a-phob) would have 2 baby boys, when all I really wanted was sweet girls.  But as they have gotten older I know why.  1st they LOVE their momma like no other, 2nd they are great little helpers, who will soon be doing this kind of stuff all on their own, and 3rd they are able to protect me from the bugs, lizards, AND FROGS!  Whenever I see something creepy I just call one of these guys and the get the creepy crawlies far away.

Beach Trips

Life has been busy lately.  We are counting down until summer break and school lets out.  Only 4 1/2 more days for my kiddos and then I will have a 5th & 8th grader, and Kindergartner!
As they get older I have especially cherished the moments we spend together.
Last month (End of April)  I took a risk and ventured to the beach with the kids solo!  Rick was studying for his captains exam and my friend/coworker was getting married on the coast, so I figured what the heck, we will give it a try.  It was the first time I have ever taken a trip out of town with all 3 kids without Rick's help, or someone extra to help me out.  The kids did fantastic!
The wedding was great and afterwards the kids and I had a great time enjoying some area activities.  The kids enjoyed countless hours at the beach, playing in the waves, boogie boarding, digging and finding crabs, shells, and other sea stuff,  and building sandcastles.  The weather was perfect about 80 degrees or so.
We did have a rough thunderstorm but overall it was gorgeous.

THEN we decided to make a trip during the memorial day weekend with our whole little family.  Me Rick and the kids took the drive again and had a great time.  It was great to spend time with all of us together, because I sure did miss him while we were gone those few days.  This time we did a bunch of different things.  We went Go Kart racing, Went to the aquarium, barbecued, and spent A LOT of time on the beach with the kids.  It was so much fun.
