Ouch!

While at Eevie's game the other day Ricky was running down a very steep grassy slope and started to go to fast, as soon as I said"Ricky be....careful" He had already hit the pavement at the very end with his face. I was terrified, I was sure that as soon as I lifted him up he would be gushing blood, teeth would be missing, and he would be swelling up. But he was pretty much fine, he had a little swelling and a little blood on his forehead and that was just about it. THANK GOODNESS!
He insisted on having a band-aid applied to his forehead. So he walked around the fields for the rest of the evening looking like a goof. :) Gotta love him!

Hawaiin Falls

I just realized that I have way more pictures of Ricky at Hawaiin Falls than Eevie. For those of you wondering what Hawaiin Falls is, it is a Family Waterpark they just built less than a mile from my house! We have already decided that this will be the majority of our summer activities since gas prices are totally outrageous. Rick was so sweet to buy us season passes and the kids and I have already taken advantage of them twice so far. It is really fun, they have adult/teen water slides, a wave pool, a spray pad, a kiddie slide area, and quite a few big rides. I haven't got to ride any slides because with the small kiddos (Like Ricky) I have to stay with him and watch his every move. Both of the kids had so much fun and we think it will be a fun filled summer. We will be going on Vacation to visit Rick's Family in San Diego, and we are also taking a family vacation with just the younger 2 kids to Cabo San Lucas MX. So EXCITED!!! I really want to some how get up to NY to visit my Grandma and Aunts, but it really depends on how money is... I will keep my fingers crossed!

FIELD DAY

Eevie doing the bucket stilts Waiting for her turn to do the next event. Class picture (I have no idea what Ricky is doing in it?!) Pooped after a long field day
Over all Field Day was a blast for both kids! Ricky was spoiled rotten by Eevie's classmates, he was given candy, popcorn, and tons of other sugery things that made him very happy!

My 4 Boys

Ricky & Barron
While Ricky & Rick were outside tightning the bolts on the swingset recently I just quickly snapped some shots of them and the puppy dogs (Who are not puppy's by the way) While looking at these I realized I have way too much testosterone in my house! Sean
My husband can be such a good one sometimes... OH OK! Most of the time. I asked him to tighten the bolts on the swingset and immediatly he got out there and started working on it, he not only tightened the ones I aksed him to, but ALL of them!

3 Amigos

These are "Ricky's Friends". He always cries when "Eevie's friends" come over because they never want to play with him, but since he is getting older his friends are able to play and watch movies and just have fun with him.

A day Out!

It still amazes me how easily entertained my kids are. We sometimes have to drive out to my bank which is about 45 min away from our house. While we are out there we try and make a day out of it, sometimes going to a different mall or to eat out there at a different resteraunt. Well, while we were in the bank we continually heard a loud rumbling and engine from a fighter jet. (I bank at Navy Federal, which is right across the street from the Naval Air Station) Every time Ricky hears something loud (Thunder, Planes, etc.) He freaks out! So I decided that we would go watch them take off and land off of the runway. They thought it was the coolest thing ever! And it was FREE!!! (Eevie is wearing the bow Suzi made!!! Thanks again Suz!)

New Beds!

I know, I know, it has been forever since I last Blogged, but due to Softball and Preschool I haven't had the time to do anything other than Taxi children to and from Practice, and games, and work.
I thought this would be a funny thing to post:

A few months ago my dad built Rick new twin size beds. Everyone was very excited including Ricky. This particular day I was having problems getting Ricky to sleep in his room for naptime, and he didn't even want to sleep in his new blue bed. So after yelling, spanking, pleading, and bribing him he got in his bed and I went downstairs. Thinking since I didn't hear anything coming from his room he must have finally settled down and went to sleep. A few hours passed by, and I go to wake him up. And long and behold he Conked out right in on the floor in front of his door!

I am not really that black, the flash didn't go off on the camera!

Raquetball Feet

TOO MUCH RAQUETBALL PLAYING!

(Bandaged & Taped Feet from too much Raquetball playing!!!)

(Even the heels are red and blistered!)

This morning before Rick left for the day, he asked me if I was going to the gym, I told him probably and continued on with my day. Well when the time came for me to go to the gym I asked him if he was going he said "Probably not; Do you want me to come?" So anyway, he ends up coming with me and we basically automatically seperate after dropping the kids off in the playroom.(Which is pretty normal) I am looking everywhere for him b/c I need to put something in his gym bag. (I don't normally take a bag)

("I WON AND I HAD A LOT OF FUN")

I finally find him waiting to play in the competition raquetball room. In this room they sign their name on a dry erase board and basically the losers have to leave and the winner plays the next person, until they lose. I'm thinking "I've got to see this!" SO instead of using my first 15 min at the gym productively I watch Rick start his game. Then I realize I have been sitting there wasting time for 15 min so I go to my Spin Class and do some other workouts and come back (over an hour later). As soon as I walk up to the court all of the other men waiting start telling me that my husbands feet are really hurt. I look in there, he is still playing (Meaning he has won every game! Yeah!!!) and I say well he looks like they feel fine, that's when they fill me in... His feet is blistered, cracked, bleeding, and the first maybe even 2nd layer of skin is falling off!!! They said that he taped them up and got back in the game?!!! I can feel my pressure building as I think to myself "WHAT!!!???!!! WHY WOULD HE KEEP PLAYING IF HIS FEET ARE LIKE THAT?!" Remind you... He isn't getting paid for this?!

*When Ricky saw his feet he said "You go to the Doctor!" LOL! He did not like his dad's feet all taped up. We get in the car and he takes off his shoes and OMG (OH MY GOSH!) I basically am speechless. Now those of you who know me well, know I am never speechless. We fly into WALGREENS as fast as the van will take us. I run up to the pharmacy and ask their suggestions. SOAK, AND BANDAGE! AND THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT HE DID!!! .

MY SHOWS

All of a sudden lately I am addicted to the TV! I have always had "MY SHOWS" but my goodness lately I can't seem to pry myself away. Right now I am just really into AMERICAN IDOL (this year!!!) My favorite is David Cook, check out my video bar on the right hand side to see him perform, he is great! Rick's favorite is syeshia, but I really just think he has a thing for black girls. LOL. Jason is soooooo cute and has the most beautiful eyes, but I really don't think he is the best singer, i am happy that carly is off, and I think it will be a tough race for David C. & David A. They are both SO good!!! But David Cook is a lot more fun to watch and listen to then David C. (Just my opinion:)
AND it is soooo about time that all of my shows are back on.
I am in love with Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, One tree hill, Law and order SVU, ER (have been watching it regularly for about 14 years) I think that is all... N*E*Way, what I do is DVR everything, then when everyone is asleep I watch it. I guess it is my little getaway from reality. Especially lately since I can't sleep. I ruptured my right ear drum, and I am on 3 types of meds. One of them makes me fat(prednisone), one of them burns my ear like fire(ear drops), and one makes me have insomnia(my antibiotic). They also noticed I had fluid behind both ears, and are still trying to coax me into getting tubes in my ears. (NOT HAPPENING!) I guess I should try to go to bed now, it is weird having a quiet house. :) I am going to try and get some pictures uploaded, but it will have to wait til' tomorrow. Enough blogging for now... I will update soon, because I have plenty more catching up for everyone to do.
If you have any weight loss tips that have worked for you please add them to my comments box! Thanks! :)

SPRING STORMS IN TEXAS

APRIL 16TH STORM
(Our Backyard after the storm was over. Everything was blown over)
For those of you who are not familiar with our powerful and regular severe thunderstorms in the spring let me fill you in...It is normal to have Tornado Watches (atmosphere capable of producing tornados) and Tornado Warnings (Rotation in the sky or Clouds which indicate a tornado will drop down at any time), hail, high winds, heavy rain, and unbelievable lightning! It gets pretty scary, but it happens every spring. So as of now we have already had about 6 days of severe weather in all. This last one that hit us was pretty bad.
(First Round of Hail)
(2 very scared kiddos... "OOOOH, That is what that sound was")
Here's the story: Eevie had a softball game that night, so we are out at the fields in the middle of no where. Everything is going great until we start to see lightning in the distance, one of the parents had a weather tracker on their cell phone and was keeping everyone updated. (well me being the chicken that i am start packing up so that I can haul outta there!) He let us all know that the storm system which dropped down a tornado about 15 min prior was heading our way and was super close. As soon as our game is over we take off, about 15-20 min after we get home we start hearing the storm roll in...then the rain...then the hail, and wind... and then the HAIL! It was so loud that I thought our windows were going to break. Me and the kids are terrified, but no not Rick! He is in the window watching the hail, opening and closing the front door to "get a better view" Now, remind you that the winds are like 60 mph or more, there is a flood of water flowing down the street, plus the hail was supposed to get up to baseball size... and he is trying to see?! Well... enough about that, thank goodness a tornado didn't drop down and suck him up! Then he would have gotten a great view?! About 20 min and the storm was gone, leaving nothing but mounds of hail and tons of black stuff that came off our roof shingles. It looked like we had a snowstorm.

(Dog bowl full of Ice after the storm)

(This is where our outdoor lights were before the hail and wind took them out!)

For us the damage wasn't that bad, we had a few broken lights and some small minor dents and scratches on the vehicles... but other than that nothing serious... BUT, Spring isn't over yet, and we have a weekend full of weather ahead of us.

P.S. For those of you who know Suzanna; Sorry that my storm story wasn't nearly as interesting as Suzanna's video!!!

Walmart Stickers

Well to start off, this has been a very hectic week for me! Saturday I was out in Fort Worth (About 45 min. away from my house) at the bank, when my keys fell out of my purse. Thinking that when Eevie picked them up she put them back in, I locked the door and was on my way. Well... when I looked into my my purse my keys weren't in there. When I asked Eevie where she put my keys she said on the Thing between the seats (Meaning on the console). So there we are locked out of the van in the middle of fort worth! I had to call Rick to drive 45 minutes to let me in the car and then 45 minutes back home. (He wasn't happy.)
But to top off the week so far:
On the way to Softball practice from Walmart, I hear commotion coming from the back seat; something about Ricky putting a sticker up his nose. So I am on the highway driving & yelling to the back for Ricky to take it out!!! (Why would my little angel (ya right) put something in his nose(See pic) Unfortunetly everytime he tried to get it out he pushed it further inside, so I yell just leave it alone until we get to the fields. Finally, I get to the fields and jump out to look in his nose. (Thinking there is one sticker in there) I look inside his nose and barely see something way in there. He is breathing fine, acting fine, so I leave it alone and call Rick. Thinking it would come out on its own when he sneezes; we leave it alone and put him to bed.
The next morning it was still there! Rick tried getting out with a tweezers, but Ricky was way too wiggly. Plus he acted like it was the most painful thing he could go through. So off to the doctor we went!
As we pulled up to the doctor I realize that we are running early, so we go inside Kohls and look around. As soon as we walk in Ricky says " WOW it is really nice in here!" We get to talking about what is going to happen at the docs today. I ask him what is in his nose? He says "a sticker" and I ask if he is going to let the doctor take the sticker out of his nose, he said "mmm hmmm" as he shakes his head up and down.
When we get to the doctor he repeatedly asks if the doctor is going to take the sticker out of his nose. When the doctor sees him, he looks in there and takes this long forceps/tweezers and pulls out the stickers! (He had 2 stickers in his nose!!!) The doctor said if we wouldn't had got them out it would have gotten really infected! Ricky did great he layed perfectly still without making one peep... UNTIL he got 3 shots!!! When we were about to leave the doctor told him "Ricky don't put anything else in your nose!!!" and Ricky said" OOOOOOOO KAYYYYYY!!!! (Like I heard it from everyone a million times, I get the point!!!) Then he told me and everyone else that the doctor hurt him when he got his shots, and he is still telling us 2 days after!!!

Dallas Stars!!!

This is going to be a bit of a long story... It all started a few weeks ago, when Rick called me from work and asked me if I wanted to go to a Stars game with a bunch of "guys" to celebrate DJ's promotion, he found a babysitter (on his own) and everything! It sounded like a fantastic fun filled night so I was all in. Well, then on Friday (the day of the game) he informed me that when he said "Guys" he literally meant "Guys/Men" I thought that when he said "guys" he was talking about his friends and their wives. So I quickly changed my mind. (Why would I want to go and hang out with a bunch of men without any other female companionship) Unfortunetly it was too late to change my mind so I went.
For everyone familiar with where we live we don't have public transportation. But there is a train that runs from Fort Worth to Dallas(and a location in arlington - I think) right to the front of the American Airlines center. So we boarded the train almost missing it. When I get on there is about 10-12 men and 1 girl in our group... I was already starting to feel a little un-comfy. But towards the end of the train ride I felt right at home!!! LOL

(Rick is in a daze) (For all of you who say they never see a picture of me well today is your lucky day... there are at least 3/4 of me on this blog post)(We have arrived!!!)

Anyone who knows me, knows that I am a HUGE Oprah fan, well it just so happens that on the news thursday they were talking about a big charity event they were having for "Oprahs big give" show to help hungry children in our area at the Stars Game. So I told Rick to remind all of his friends to bring Peanut butter with them. When I got on the train with my PB, no one except me (on the WHOLE TRAIN) brought PB! But it was ok, because I knew that my 1 jar of PB was making a difference. While I was there I dropped it off and received big cheers for my contribution. (YEAH, ME!)

(Me in Victory Park after dropping off my PB)

(Victory Park-1 huge screen that moves and also seperates into smaller ones)

(And No... This is not where we sat! LOL) It was just the best place to get a picture of the entire arena. Cool Huh?) (Time for Warm-Ups) (My $4.00 drink-No free refill, $4.75 per hotdog-BUT...it was $1.00 b/c it was dollar hotdog day! Can you believe that this would have been a $13.50 meal? Well... Can you believe that is WAS a $6.00 meal? And it isn't even counting Ricks portion.) (My $3.75 bag of cotton candy) (Hey Guys!!! Congrats to DJ for his promotion!!! If you want to have a PARTY, Call these guys. They were so much fun to hang out with!)

I am actually really happy that I ended up going, because I haven't had that much fun in a LONG time! I was laughing almost the whole time we were there. Rick was a super gentleman. Plus he spent all that money for me on that not worth it- food. By the end of the night I was EXHAUSTED... but then again, it doesn't take much for me to be super sleepy. The train ride home was a quiet one everyone was ready for bed... Well except for Woody who we realize is some kind of space creature who doesn't sleep, that guy is the energizer bunny he is always full of energy! LOL

Spring BBQ

Last weekend we had a celebrate spring BBQ at our house. It was so nice to get a lot of our friends and family together and just hang out. We had TONS of food, music, and yummy desserts!!! The kids especially had a lot of fun. Unfortunetly the weather wasn't very spring like at all. It was cloudy (Planning to rain at any moment) and quite chilly. But everyone seemed to enjoy themselves regardless of the weather. Thanks to all that came!!! (Enjoying dessert) (Eating & Dancing) ( All is well here) (kids are having fun!) (Even the baby is dancing! Go Amelia!!!)
