May

May was a busy month for us...but then again, what month isn't! We had Field Day at school and The Science Fair! Both Kids had a great time at Field Day. I didn't get a lot of pictures because I didn't realize that I only had a small memory card until I got to the school, and by then it was too late to turn around to go back home to get a bigger one. Ricky pulling for dear life...but his class lost :(
Ricky and some of his classmates! Plus his best friend Owen.
Eevie & Some of her classmates.
Ricky with his science fair project! His project was "which gets yucky first?" He put 3 pieces of fruit out on the counter for a week and monitored the progress to see which one spoiled first. He did all the expirement himself, I wrote the notes, then typed them up and decorated the board. At the end of the project he felt the orange and said eww this one feels the yuckiest, because it is all squishy! And he said the banana looks the yuckiest because it is brown, and the apple...well, it looks just fine! LOL, and then we opened up all the fruit and everything tasted delicious. So he put that in the project.
Well he ended up winning 3rd place out of the whole entire 3rd grade! We were so incredibly proud of him!!! He is such a smart kid. :)
Eevie's Science fair project was does Miracle Gro really work. She planted one flower and used the miracle gro fertilizer and didn't use it with the other, she took pictures and monitored the progress. She did all the notes and I typed everything up and glued it on the board. She didn't win any awards, but she made a 100 and worked very hard and it paid off with the PERFECT score! We are very proud of her too! We have super smart kiddos!!!

Easter

It was a quiet Easter this year... We missed church (my fault) I have been suffering a migraine for about 3 days and I overslept. I thought about going to Easter service on Saturday night, but I didn't and then I ended up missing church. Rick worked at the firestation so me and the kids did our Easter activities without him this year. We had our Easter Egg hunt in the backyard, and decorated Easter Eggs! Even JC decorated eggs, by putting stickers on them. And then we went to my parents house for dinner. It was a nice weekend. We also talked about what Easter REALLY means. That Jesus was crucified on the cross for our sins, and on the third day he rose. His tomb was empty. I hope all of you had a wonderful Easter too!

Texas Bluebonnets

I would love if some of you would follow my blog. (hint...hint...)
So anyway...I have officially started doing photography as a business. I might have told you all that in the last post, but I don't remember. LOL Check out my photoblog at http://www.capturedbycammyphotography.blogspot.com/
I recently "TRIED" to take bluebonnet photos of my kids & their spring/Easter portraits, one of my children wasn't going for it. You can guess which one it was by looking at the photos. I will posting a Easter Blog later.

I'M BAAAAACK....I think :)

Life has taken over once again and I am crazy busy! I started doing some photography stuff a few months ago and it is going so great! I am so busy and I am loving every minute of it. Rick is studying for the Captains test again, unfortunetly not enough promotions came out of the last test. He is taking the Captains test at the end of April and I know that he is going to do a great job It has been such a long time since I blogged that I don't even know where to begin. March was a busy month for us. We went to the beach for Spring Break, the weather was gorgeous and we had a fantastic time! We also went to Austin to see The Hispanic Firefighter's Association by recognized at the Texas State Capitol. We all came down with Strep Throat :( It was the first time that any of my children have had to be on Antibiotics. The kids are doing Wonderful, school is going great! Eevie is still making straight A's and is known as the "benchmark queen" because she continues to score the highest on the benchmark. Ricky is reading better each day and is learning lots of new & cool things in class! His handwriting is also beginning to improve. JC is talking more and more each day, and he is full of energy, he is running, climbing, sliding and much more! He is such a sweetie pie! I am going to leave you with some pictures to look at :) Hopefully I can keep up with my blog in the next few months! Also if you have a Skype account add me! Cammyh0112

CHRISTMAS

Crazy Christmas
Christmas was a little crazy this year. We had Christmas with my family at our house on Christmas Eve night. We had food & dessert plus LOTS of presents! The kids had a great time and got some really great things from my parents & the aunts & Unlces.
Christmas Morning Rick had to work, but was able to go in a little later, so that he could spend time opening gifts with the kids. We weren't surprised that our kids didn't wake up early (They never do) We had to wake up the kids on Christmas!!! I mean who does that?! LOL
I am having trouble loading pictures from Christmas morning, but here is JC's face at 8:00am. He looked at me with this look of "it is way to early to get up"
I will keep trying to load more pictures from Christmas Morning, but all 3 kids took about 20 min to really get into the spirit of opening gifts. They sat around just vegging and looking at the wrapped gifts for about 20 min. before they really got into it. They of course got tons of stuff, Wii Games, Toys, Toys, & More Toys, Eevie got a Video Camera & much more. Overall it was such a wonderful Christmas, espcially b/c our kids know that Jesus Christ was born on that day & that is the number celebration.
Each child got sooooo many gifts from my parents, but I will just leave you with a few of the pictures.
Here are some pictures from when my family was over on Christmas Eve:

ANNUAL CHRISTMAS PLAYGROUP
Every year since Eevie was just a toddler I have hosted a Christmas Playgroup & Book Exchange. This year the kids expressed that they were tired of doing a book exchange every year so for the big kids we did a Art Supply exchange! It was nice to get all the kids together while they were out of school, and be able to just play freely & exchange a small gift with a friend.
Since both of the older 2 are in school full time now we were able to host 2 playgroups. One for the little guys and one for the bigger ones. This year we have spent a lot of time with just babies & toddlers while the older 2 are at school. We did a book exchange and the babies had such a wonderful time playing together.
SCHOOL CHRISTMAS PARTIES
I am the room mom for Eevie's Class this year, so I was in charge of creating a fun Holiday Party...due to this responsibility I was unable to take a lot of pictures. I still can not believe that she is in 3rd grade! It just flies by so quickly. I enjoy working with Mrs. Murray on a regular basis on different things that are going on in the class! The Holiday Party was super fun, we did Crafts made of food, Played Christmas Bingo, and much more!
I am a regular volunteer for Ricky's Kindergarten class, and although I wasn't in charge of organizing the Winter Party, I sure was busy helping get ready for it. Kindergarten is just sooo fun. They were all hyped up on sugar and having such a great time. Ricky has the same teacher Eevie had when she was in Kindergarten, so I have gotten to know her throughout the years and really enjoy working with her and helping her prepare for lessons. For the Holiday party they colored on the high tech computer board, ate tons of junk food, and played musical chairs! What a great way to end the first 1/2 of the school year...Celebrating with friends :)
SIX FLAGS
We took the kids & our neighbor Skylar to Six Flags Holiday in the Park. The weather turned out to be great! We weren't surprised that Ricky is a rollercoaster crazy! That is all he wanted to do is ride rollercoasters. Unfortunately he wasn't tall enough to ride some of the really tall ones. Maybe next year! I am happy though, because I will finally have someone else to ride rollercoasters with since Rick doesn't like them. :)
Eevie liked the spinning rides and things that went up & down like the airplanes and such. We saw Christmas Lights, ate funnel cakes, rode plenty of rides and warmed up by a real campfire. It was such a fun time!
