Playgroup, 1st Week of School, & Texas Rangers

This was a fun week for us! Since the kids started school JC & I were able to go to a playgroup for just the babies! It was so fun...well for me and the other moms! The kids aren't really at the age of playing with each other yet, they still just play by each other. JC had a good time playing with soft blocks, and climbing all over things.
Rick & I took the kids to a Rangers game over the weekend! We LOVE going to the Rangers games! Unfortunetly this time we got stuck with tickets in the nosebleed section...but ya know, it wasn't bad at all! It was still really fun! We usually get really great seats (last time we were in row 16!) but we weren't expecting to go to a SOLD OUT game! I just love doing stuff with my family! We went to Potbelly Sandwich works for dinner, then went to the Rangers game and enjoyed tons of junk food! Cotton Candy, Soda, Chips! The only bad part was that the Rangers LOST! 5-0!!!
Last week, I went to have lunch at the school with Ricky...everything was going really great! I sat with him through lunch, went to the playground with him to see him play with all his friends, and was about to walk back in with him, when he started crying! He was crying so bad that I couldn't even calm him down. Ricky is never like that!!! He is the type of kid that runs in and doesn't even want to give me a kiss. He was complaining that he was still hungry, that he needed to go home, ect. I left in tears! It broke my heart to leave him at school so sad. But eventually he calmed down, I emailed his teacher to find out how he was doing, and he was doing fine. These long school days and no naps are starting to catch up with my little guy. But on the good note...BOTH kids had an excellent first week of school and were very excited about going back today! Ricky has been coming home singing songs everyday & Eevie is already starting the year off being the little smarty pants that she is making 100's on everything in sight!

1st Day of School

Today was the first day of school! I can not believe that I have a 3rd grader & a Kindergartener.
Ricky started Kinder this year, and his first day of school was excellent! He got Mrs. Aan, who was also Eevie's Kindergarten teacher. He seemed a little anxious when we took him to his class, but warmed up quickly. He had lots to share afterschool and seems to be excited about going back tomorrow!
Eevie is officially a 3rd grader! Where did the time go? It seems like just the other day she was heading into Mrs Aan's Class for Kindergarten just like Ricky. I can't say that I was surprised that Eevie wasn't interested in taking pictures or us walking her to class, but we did it anyway! She has a new teacher Mrs. Murray, and she is an amazing sweet lady! We have been extremely blessed in getting outstanding teachers since we have attended Elizabeth Smith.
I am sure that this will be a wonderful school year for the both of them! Since I am helping Rick with the moving company, I will have a really flexible schedule and be able to spend more time at the school. I am looking forward to really getting to know the 3rd grade teachers & getting to know the new kindergarten teachers.

Another Post!!! Wow...

I got all the kids bathed and in bed on time tonight, so I have a little bit of time to blog some more. Lately things have been so out of my control and I don't like it one bit. I had really planned to get my preschool moved in to a new building this year, everything was looking great and we were expecting to get into the new building by September, but it didn't work out. So I have been a little stressed about that, and there are other things going on in my life that just keep throwing me through the ringer.
Rick and I haven't had any time to really connect lately, with a new baby, the older 2 out of school, the stress of my business plans falling through, and Rick working the moving business, Firefighting, and overtime at the Rangers. Sometimes the stress can add up.
I think this post is really more for me...but I just wanted to post a picture from one of our beach trips a few years ago. It brings back good memories for me!

Just some pictures for today! (FW Cats & Circus)

A little behind...

Well once again, I have let my blog get behind! Now let's try to play catch up again. This has been a crazy month! The moving business is going really good so far, my preschool on the other hand...well, let's just put it this way. We didn't end up moving like we had planned to, for a fall 2010 start. But we are planning to start next fall, so it isn't total bad news, but it wasn't the way I wanted. The kids have less than 2 weeks til school starts, and I am counting down!!! Ricky is going to kinder and Eevie is going to 3rd grade! JC is growing like a little weed...he started really walking about a month ago and now is a walking machine! He is waving hi & bye bye, and he says momma, dadda, bubba, hi, bye bye, and more. He refuses to use any sign language, which results in HUGE temper tantrums, where he throws his self back and screams like someone is killing him. At the end of July we went to Hawaiian Falls a few times, one of the days Rick took off to spend with us we drove about an hour away and went to a bigger & wetter Hawaiian Falls. Rick and Eevie rode a huge water slide about 30 stories up in the air! So Far August has been pretty busy, we have went to see the Miner League Baseball Game (The Fort Worth Cats vs. The Grand Prairie Air Hogs) The kids had a really good time and what is a baseball game without plenty of cotton candy?! Rick also surprised us with a visit to the Ringling Brother's Circus! We all had such a wonderful time! Now, we are on the final leg of summer, all the school supplies have been bought, but we still need to get new clothes and shoes for the kids. I hope you all have enjoyed your summer! Here are some pictures for now, I plan to do a post later on today with just pictures...It will be a Wordless Thursday post. Pray everyone is doing well.

Quick Update

I can't believe how behind I have been getting with my blog! My goodness...
Well, I am not going to go back 3 months and start where I left off, I am just going to pick up here!
I have been incredibly busy, we recently started a new business...well, actually Rick started it I am just helping. It is a Moving company called FIREMEN & A TRUCK MOVING SERVICES, so far it is going pretty good, we are trying to get the word out and letting people know about it. He has done really great with the moves so far, and I have been keeping up with the adverstising and other background stuff. (Paperwork, etc)
The kids are doing really great! JC is now 9 months old, he is taking 2-3 steps and can stand on his own. He crawls well, and is feeding himself, all that fun baby stuff.
Ricky is officially 5 years old! He recently had a huge 5th birthday celebration...like all his birthdays, it was a water party, we had it at a little water park and splashed the night away!
Eevie finished school with straight A's, and plenty awards, she is enjoying summer...especially swimming! I think we might put her in competitive swimming in the fall, if she doesn't play softball again.
I have some business plans in the works for my preschool, I am not going to go into detail but please keep all your fingers and toes crossed for me.
Well, that is about all the updates! I will try to update more often, I have been getting way behind!

JC

My little JC is crawling!!! I can't believe that he is already 6 months old! He is starting to eat some table food, he still refuses to take the bottle, and he babbles up a storm! He really thinks he is talking too! Here are some pictures from the last few months! He is growing so fast! At his last appointment he was nearly 20 lbs, and 26 1/2 inches. We recently had to lower the crib, he can pull his self up to a standing position, but doesn't do it very often.
