Eevie's Opening Ceremony

The only thing I can say about this picture is HOW CUTE!!! All of the girls were all dolled up in their uniforms for the opening ceremony (Eevie refused to wear her visor). MGSA (Mansfield Girls Softball Association) goes all out to make these girls have a grand opening to the season. They had free food and drinks, bounce houses & slides, pitching contests, karaoke, and tons of other fun-tastic stuff for the girls and their families to enjoy!

After 2 weeks of beautiful, sunny, 70-80 degree days, we got bombed with a cold front which brought in 50 degree weather, clouds, and misty rain. Of all days to have a cold front it had to be on the opening ceremony. We were cold but still all had a really good time! For the actual ceremony all the girls teams and their coaches, are introduced by a DJ and music and parade around the field chanting, cheering, and making all kinds of noise! It was amazing.

"GO MERMAIDS!!!"

Well I have to say watching this softball game was a lot more entertaining then I thought it was going to be! The girls did really good. We witnessed the good, the bad, and the ugly! LOL. We were really blessed to have the opportunity for all of our family to attend Eevie's first game. Granny, Pop Pop, Auntie Dawn, Auntie Cheryl, Auntie Jamie, and Uncle Curtis all watched and cheered on as the Lil' Mermaids played their booties off! It was a cold, nasty, cloudy day and they still had smiles on their faces. Even though they lost.

Eevie did a great job batting! Here they are waiting for this game to get started! They are all sitting in their batting order just waiting for their turn to smack the ball outta here! Eevie is #9!
