Baseball season was amazing for both boys! Ricky's team finished 1st place, and UNDEFEATED! They even won all the games in the tournaments. It was a spectacular season for the Rockies. JC was on a new team this season and he loved every second of it. But no one should be surprised, he is one of the happiest kids anyway. He is such a go with the flow kind of guy. They had a fun season too. It has been so cool watching him learn and grow as a baseball player. His team came in 2nd in their age division after a very tough battle at the championship game. We just love watching all the kids in their activities and sports.
School has come to an end and we are in 4th week of summer. There has been lots of swimming, vacations, and enjoyable memories made with this sweet family of mine. Looking back on all the photos it just makes me so happy to have this little family of mine. Recently, well over the last couple of years we have slowly been making the decision to spend money on time & memories with our kiddos and family. We have slowed down on spending money on things, but lets face it the kids play with "Things" for a short time and then they are off to the next cooler thing. But the memories that we are making together and the time we are spending together doing fun, new experiences will last a lifetime.
We all had a itty bitty long weekend during Memorial Day and made the decision to pack up the family, AND a friend and head to the coast for the weekend. We had such a amazing weekend, packed with tons of outdoor activities. We really weren't inside much of the trip. We rode boogie boards, and bar b Q'd, played basketball and sand volleyball, the kids got snowcones, and we eat a ton. It was really a very fun weekend and we are looking forward to going back.
Even when we are home we are trying to do fun and memorable things with the kiddos. We spent a evening making smores. It was kinda crazy because it dropped into the 60's one day (Which is unheard of in Texas after around April) We lit up the outdoor fireplace and went to town catching marshmallows on fire. The kids had way too much sugar that night!
